Understanding the pathway of young people who have difficulty ‘sticking’ to jobs is critical to this project. One of our approaches is to review case histories of 50 young people from their case histories with Job Prospects. Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is analysing these cases to draw out themes and to help us answer questions like:
How many jobs and periods of unemployment does it take for a young person to get to a sustainable job?
What are the most common shortfalls in personal capabilities and other common barriers to young people getting and keeping jobs?
