Part of the research by the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is to interview 36 job seekers from Stream B and C who are seeking employment and who may have had employment. The aim is to gain their views on what support they feel they need once in a job and during their first year of employment, because we know that for more disadvantaged young people it’s likely to involve multiple jobs and periods of unemployment.
Also this week, Andrew Reilly met with the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Foundation in Melbourne to discuss SYC’s proposal for their support for the project with a large $300,000 grant over 2 years. The response was very positive and we were told the project aligns very well with their desire to support innovative projects backed by good evidence of outcomes and with high quality partners.
